The topic of discussion was the most promising directions of business

in Ukraine, agriculture, and Hi-Tech. Members of the discussion shared their vision of the current situation on the market. In particular, Vladislava Rutitskaya in her presentation stressed that the primary task facing the IT sector was the development of control systems which would make it possible to increase the level of information support of the management to make more informed decisions, increase control over assets and processes. Artem Belenkov, SmartFarming founder, told that at present there were difficulties in the interaction of these two industries. For example, heads of agricultural enterprises do not always see the end result of the implementation of systems ignoring a holistic approach, without bringing the matter to the end. The cooperation success is also influenced by the overall culture of the business, the level by which the company’s staff is interested in the development and learning new things. It was discussed what problems could be

solved with the help of modern technologies and what opportunities the farmers would get using them and at what stages the process of implementation was slowed down. They told about successes and barriers to effective interaction of AGRO and IT.
