From its efficiency and efficiency of decision-making, the possibility of developing an economy or a large agro-holding often depends. Therefore, our next analysis will concern the main factors affecting the management of the agricultural company.
SYSTEM FUEL ACCOUNTING
Recently, agricultural companies have become aware of the need to monitor the functioning of the fleet of machinery, optimize the operation of the enterprise and reduce its own expenses. Most agricultural producers have encountered GPS monitoring systems, but only a few have built a comprehensive system for controlling equipment in their own conditions. Despite the fluctuations in fuel prices, the issue of monitoring its use becomes more acute every day. The main losses to farmers are caused by non-observance of technological operations, simple vehicles, misuse of machinery, and, finally, theft of fuels and lubricants. Theft of fuel accounts for a significant loss of each enterprise. Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to track the volume of shipped fuel at filling stations, but it becomes even more difficult when it gets into tankers of tank trucks or tanks of working machines.
As of the beginning of March 2016, we commissioned ten comprehensive fuel accounting projects (three more are at the implementation stage), which provided software and hardware, configured monitoring and accounting processes in order to minimize costs, create transparent chains of fuel. When constructing such systems, many nuances arise, and only experienced specialists can perform such projects on a turn-key basis. To take into account each element, to make a quality decision adapted to the specific conditions of the company, one can only take into account all the factors. For example, the quality of fuel accounting largely depends on the calibration of the sensors, because even an ideally tuned system gives an error in measuring its quantity in 1% of the tank volume. While working with the fleet of agricultural machinery of many of our customers, we find that previously acquired equipment for fuel accounting was absolutely unprofessional. As a result, this did not allow proper accounting and objective information.
However, only trained specialists can see this problem, in order to introduce the necessary adjustments, substantially increase the overall efficiency of the company's business activities. In total, during the recent time our company has automated various directions in more than 30 agricultural enterprises, and we can state that only complex specialized agricultural solutions provide full accounting and control of fuel. Now, while the market of such services in Ukraine is only developing, there are really only two such solutions. Many agribusinesses buy equipment and software from suppliers whose main customers are logistics, transport, utilities. Unfortunately, they are not adapted to the specific nature of the movement of machinery across the field, the account of the treated area and other features. Let's consider some more important technologic management elements of the companies.
ACCOUNTING OF THE PERFORMED WORKS
In the agricultural business, quality control of the work performed is critically important (this directly affects the next yield), as well as an accurate assessment of the treated area. Today, our company provides enterprises with satellite monitoring services for the condition of crops and faces weekly analysis of problem areas in the fields. Where our geoinformation systems and GPS monitoring of equipment are integrated, we can confidently say that the appearance of more than 20% of such sites is the result of poorly executed technological operations. The main reasons are the excess speed of the movement of aggregates when performing various operations, as well as improper use of them (the operator did not perform the correct working method). In fact, the human factor remains the limiter. To ensure full control and accounting for the implementation of operations in the fields, companies first conduct complex equipment of agricultural machinery. Further, all technological maps are made in the software for the respective crops, they create operational plans for the entire fleet of equipment in relation to the specific fields of the farms. Such a system allows you to keep the timing of all the norms of work and fuel consumption in relation to specific equipment, units and operations. This block allows not only to carry out the scheduling of the work of the machinery, but also to clearly control the quality performance. The management will have all the necessary information, processing and analysis of which will allow us to make more balanced management decisions. As a result, the efficiency and discipline of the work of the whole direction is increasing. The system allows dispatchers to keep track of the work done, draw up maps of the treated area, and monitor the maximum speed of technological operations. On the other hand, all violations are monitored, and, if necessary, the dispatcher does not take into account the area processed with non-compliance with technological norms.
INTEGRATION WITH GIS AND 1C
Many companies make mistakes, starting the implementation of such projects, without designing the original system. In this case, the solution, which seemed right at the first stage, creates a lot of problems at the output and requires additional investments for integration, re-equipment, etc. Any system that agroholding implements, must be integrated into the common information space. In the framework of our projects, we carry out such integration — taking into account the individuality and uniqueness of each specific situation in the company. Everything depends first of all on how the company processes, how the reporting is formed. In some situations, data from the GPS monitoring service is transferred to the geoinformation system, where the land bank is kept and the history of the farm fields is maintained. In the system the fact of the executed works is formed, further information is unloaded into the 1C program. In other projects, GIS data is a reference for deciding whether to take account of a particular treated area.
